States and Senators Respond to Rollback of Internet Privacy Bill

On April 3, 2017, President Trump signed Senate Joint Resolution 34. The resolution overturned a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rule that required Internet Service Providers to inform their customers what information was collected and where it would be sold. It also required an explicit opt-in from consumers before any data could be collected or sold.
